Our venues provide unique and imaginative meeting locations which are easily accessible, offer good value for money and deliver great personal service, yet by-and-large are not maximising their potential to tap into a growing market.

With extensive experience in the meetings and conference business combined with our in-depth knowledge of the UK brewing industry, we are perfectly placed to maximise the additional revenue opportunities available when combining these two industries.

Mark Saxby

Mark Saxby Mark has extensive advertising design and marketing experience following 10 years with Saatchi & Saatchi he became Managing Partner of the largest Marcomms Group outside London. Mark then became a Director of Universal WorldEvents which became the largest meetings & events company in the UK. Mark was Chairman of the UK Event Industry Association, Eventia (2010-11). He is now Executive Director of meetings and events company C2events which features in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 league as one of the fastest growing companies in Britain.

Edward Theakston

Edward Theakston With over 30 years experience in the brewing and pub trade, Edward has been running his own consultancy which specialises in ‘On-Trade ‘ retailing for the last 14 years. Working alongside, amongst others, two of the UK’s largest pub groups he has extensive knowledge and is considered one of the country’s leading experts in pub retailing operations. Having worked for Scottish & Newcastle, Spirit Group, Heineken UK, Ei Group and Cask Marque, Edward has a wide knowledge of UK pubs and the industry. He is also a Director of T&R Theakston Ltd.

Ian Quartermaine

Ian Quartermaine A highly experienced and well-travelled meetings and events professional. Ian is currently the CEO of Travika, a global travel, meeting and event sales consultancy. He helped create and develop the International Division of HelmsBriscoe (the largest venue finding, procurement and service company in the world) into 40 countries. He is also CEO of Dezika, a meeting and event focused business services company.

Andrew Winterburn

Andrew Winterburn With over 25 years’ experience in the meetings and events industry, Andrew was previously a Board Director at Ashfield Meetings & Events. He is passionate about providing unique solutions for meeting planners and he is extremely knowledgeable about the industry having delivered events throughout the world.
